Audi presents comfort cocoon vehicles for Asia’s megacities

Audi’s futuristic automobiles are specifically designed to provide a retreat from urban transportation

The carmaker Audi believes the future of vehicles is an interior which can transform from an office to a lounge to a cinema with just a click of the button

The future of car interiors, according to Audi, is a cocoon like interior with the comfort of relaxing in traffic jams

The fully autonomous battery-electric pod concept is not quite ready for production, but is planned to be the future of vehicles in Asia’s megacities

Audi introduced a concept car built for customers in China’s megacities, a vehicle that promises to demonstrate how future passengers might escape the city’s stress by retreating into their own private cocoon.

Even though the Audi urbansphere called Concept is far from being ready, the six-passenger car gives megacity inhabitants a glimpse of the future that Audi would like them to envision. The concept is to provide passengers with a retreat from traffic and urban life, allowing both drivers and passengers to relax and socialise.

Designers of the vehicle were tasked with creating a multipurpose interior to morph from an office to a cinema or lounge with just a click of the button.

Audi reported the fully autonomous battery-electric pod concept was originally designed for Asia’s megacities and could be the norm for other global metropolises. Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system and adjustable air suspension are included in the 295-kilowatt dual-motor combination.
