Redbiotec is a Swiss biopharmaceutical company that develops bacteria-based gene therapies to treat cancer and genetic disorders. They use a proprietary bacteria platform that accommodates large and diverse therapeutic cargos and is designed to overcome many delivery hurdles faced by other vehicles. Redbiotec has sold its CMV vaccine business to Pfizer in 2015 and also created an HSV-2 immunotherapy. They are also involved in alternative-dairy development, using precise fermentation in different expression platforms to recombinantly produce milk proteins with high yield and their post-translational modifications. Redbiotec is open to strategic partnerships to use their recombinant proteins for animal-free food products and to increase the impact of their technology platforms.
