Alain Denis

Mr. Alain Denis serves as Senior Vice President, Private Equity and Impact Investing Investments Operations and Québec Equity Markets at Fonds de solidarite FTQ. He has been Senior Vice-President, Innovation since October 2011 and is responsible for the Fonds de solidarité FTQ's investments in IT/Telecommunications, Life Sciences, Environment and Controlling Interests. Alain Denis joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2009 as Investment Director of the Information Technologies and Telecommunications sector. An entrepreneur and manager with over 20 years of experience in business and investment, Mr. Denis has held various management positions in leading companies, playing a significant role in their development. Over his career, Alain Denis was, among other things, involved in the launch of a national wireless telecom firm and helped secure financing for and further the development of various companies funded through venture capital in Europe and Asia. More recently, he participated in developing the business of two companies he co-founded, one in health technologies and the other in asset-based lending. A graduate of Université Laval and York University, Mr. Denis holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Finance concentration. Very involved in the business community, he is a board member of several companies and organizations in Montréal.
