Established in 1999, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) brings together the top executives of leading corporations, foundations, and universities in Central Indiana. Their collaborative efforts aim to ensure the region's ongoing prosperity and growth. In partnership with the Battelle Memorial Institute, CICP released a comprehensive economic development plan in 2001, emphasizing key industry clusters such as life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, and technology. The organization's mission includes promoting entrepreneurship to diversify Central Indiana's economy. To achieve this, CICP sponsors six initiatives, namely AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana, Energy Systems Network, and TechPoint. Each initiative addresses unique challenges and opportunities in areas like agbiosciences innovation, workforce development, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, energy technology, and information technology.
