Samer Abdin is the co-founder & CEO of Istikana, a web based SVOD platform offering premium Arab TV and film programming. Samer graduated from University College London with a BSc in Astrophysics in 1999, after which he traded financial derivatives for 5 years. After completing his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2007, he moved to Dubai to work as a strategy and early growth specialist with the Boston Consulting Group. Prior to co-founding Istikana, Samer was active in several start-ups including being on the board of Dwight Cavendish Systems, specializing in media content copy protection as well several projects during his time at MIT.
