Drew Oetting

Drew began his career as an analyst in the Technology Investment Banking Division of Moelis & Company in Palo Alto, California where he focused on M&A advisory in the Internet/Digital Media and Network Infrastructure industries. While in college Drew worked in the private equity group of Cascade Investment in Kirkland, Washington as well as for Asia Pacific Investment Partners, a Hong Kong-holdings company focused on real estate and mining investments in Mongolia. Drew received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics cum laude from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He was a Robert Day Scholar, two-time Bill Gates Investment/Michael Larson Asset Management Fellow and served as a student representative on the Claremont McKenna College Board of Trustees. Drew enjoys golf, basketball and snowboarding and in college sang tenor for The Claremont Shades, a professional a capella group. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Drew is passionate about using technology in conjunction with innovative leadership to improve society and tackle the world’s big problems.
