Established in 1951, Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center is a county-owned critical access hospital in Kansas that offers award-winning care to southeast Kansans. The hospital, which was originally founded as a grassroots initiative by local mothers groups, has a rich history of serving the community. In 2009, it underwent a $20 million renovation project to create a modern facility with state-of-the-art departments such as emergency, inpatient, intensive care, outpatient observation, and nutrition services. Neosho Memorial is governed by a seven-member board appointed by the Neosho County commission and operates without relying on tax dollars for general operations.
