Description

The company's OptiScanner is an automated, continuous monitoring system designed for the intensive care unit, providing serial blood glucose measurements for critically ill patients. The system combines lab-quality accuracy with real-time bedside monitoring and uses a disposable, single-use cartridge for processing and analyzing blood samples. This assists clinicians in detecting changes rapidly and making timely decisions for glycemic control in critical care settings. Founded in 1994, OptiScan Biomedical is based in Hayward, California.
