CMAP, founded in 2005 and based in Chicago, implements strategies to address transportation, housing, economic development, open space, the environment, and other quality-of-life issues. It is the regional planning agency for the seven counties and 284 communities of northeastern Illinois, currently implementing the #ONTO2050 long-range plan.
