Description

WISE S.r.l. is an innovative medical device company founded in 2011. They use their patented Supersonic Cluster Beam Implantation (SCBI) technology to create stretchable, flexible, and biocompatible electrodes that can be surgically implanted to apply electrical stimuli to neural tissues. Their first commercial product, the WISE Cortical Strip (WCS®), is a CE-marked medical device used for IntraOperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) during brain tumor and epilepsy surgeries. The WCS® allows for continuous recording of brain activity and can also be used for brain stimulation. WISE aims to develop a new generation of implantable leads for neuromodulation that are more reliable, less invasive, and cheaper than existing products.
