Description

Aortix, Procyrion's first-in-class device, is implanted through a catheter in the leg, deployed between the heart and the kidneys, to unload the failing heart and perfuse vital organs. This device allows the heart to rest and heal while correcting the fluid imbalance. Aortix is designed to treat heart failure patients who are too sick for medication alone, and it is thinner than a #2 pencil. Procyrion aims to improve outcomes for patients with cardiac and renal impairment using its catheter-deployed pump technology to address conditions with significant unmet needs.
