Allan Boruchowicz

Allan is Founder and Managing Director at Carao Ventures. He has more than 10 years experience managing private equity investments and has worked and invested in startups in different stages for the last 6 years in Latin America and the US. He founded Carao Ventures in 2012 aiming to offer entrepreneurs in Latin America the same resources and opportunities that entrepreneurs in more developed markets have available to create and advance their startups. At Carao Ventures, Allan leads the investments in Slidebean, BildTEK, Speratum, and Singularities in which he is mentor and Board Member of the companies. Also, he leads the acceleration program for GoPass, Huli, Aerial Robotixs, and Quenti on behalf of the firm. Before founding Carao Ventures, Allan worked for more than 5 years at Mesoamerica Investments, a consulting and private equity management firm in Latin America, at first from the Costa Rican office and afterwards establishing operations of the firm in South America, with office overseeing the region based in Bogotá, Colombia. Prior to working in Mesoamerica, Allan worked for a year managing investments at UBS Wealth Management US. Currently, Allan serves on the Board of Directors of Banco BCT, BCT Puesto de Bolsa, and BCT SAFI; and is Member of the Investment Committee of CRUSA Foundation. Allan has a B.Sc. degree in Business Management with concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
