Their microfluidic tools provide live imaging of cell behavior in response to defined concentration gradients, which helps in the formation of stable gradients of soluble substances in any type of 2D and 3D cell culture. Gradientech is developing QuickMIC®, an ultra-rapid system for antibiotic susceptibility testing of positive blood culture samples from sepsis patients. Their technology combines microfluidics with live cell imaging to study cell responses in a linear concentration gradient, and is suitable for many biological applications.
