Founded in 2001, Energiestro initially aimed to develop a generator for buildings using flywheel energy storage, but the project did not result in commercial products due to the high cost of renewable fuels. However, the company's flywheel storage technology is now an alternative to battery storage, enabling clients to increase the adoption of renewable energies in a cost-effective way. Energiestro is developing VOSS, a flywheel made of prestressed concrete, that will store solar energy during the day and use it at night, providing a low-cost solution with an unlimited life.
