Founded in 2013 by MIT Media Lab, the E14 Fund focuses on commercializing innovative ideas from MIT by nurturing early-stage spin-offs. They provide support and investment to companies at the intersection of technology, design, biology, engineering, and more. With a diverse portfolio, the fund helps bring technologies out of the lab and into the real world, connecting entrepreneurs with investors and industry experts to help them scale. The E14 Fund has a particular interest in startups aged 6-10 years and industries such as machine learning and mobile. They prioritize diversity and inclusion, with half of their companies having a female founder and more than half having founders from outside the United States.
