Prior to co-founding the company, he served as senior vice president for Applied Solar LLC, where he was responsible for developing its residential solar financing program. In 2001, Alan served as vice president of finance with Clarus Energy Partners, a leading developer, owner and operator of distributed generation projects in California, which was acquired by Hunt Power in 2004. Prior to Clarus Energy, he co-founded and served as chief financial officer of Omaha-based Kiewit Fuels, a biofuels technology and development company. Alan also served in various commercial banking and real estate finance positions as corporate vice president with Citicorp. Alan has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Wisconsin.
