Nick Jones
Nick is a serial entrepreneur who has worked cutting edge of the digital industry since 2000. Nick joined the launch team at Goto.com (latterly Overture Services) pioneering the search engine space in the UK. He subsequently held senior positions at Yahoo! following Overture’s acquisition in 2004 including launching Europe’s first mobile advertising solution. In 2006 Nick co-founded digital agency I Spy Marketing and led the business to 60+ employees before it was sold to Dentsu/Aegis in 2012. Nick also co-founded spin out business “Upcast Social”, a leading Facebook Ad management platform later sold to Mediamath. Between 2012 and 2018 Nick was a full time Angel Investor and held multiple Chairman, Non-Executive and Advisory roles in the Tech space. He founded investment syndicate Galvanise Capital in 2012 and now fills the role of non-executive chairman. In December 2017 the itch to get back into entrepreneurial life in a hands-on capacity grew too strong and he co-founded Zumo with long-time collaborator Paul Roach. Having spent the last 24 months building the product Nick and his team are now taking Zumo to market.
