Tate & Lyle Ventures has £55m of funds under management on behalf of its Limited Partner, the global food ingredient company Tate & Lyle plc, whilst managed independently by Circadia Ventures LLP. They are launching a new £30m fund focused on investing in high growth companies in the areas of food sciences and technologies, particularly in early-stage and growth food ingredient companies in the areas of sweeteners, texturants and "health & wellness". They believe that their insight into financing high growth businesses coupled with Tate & Lyle's expertise in bringing new products to market offers their portfolio companies a unique competitive advantage in building successful independent ventures.
