Rudolf Freytag
Rudolf Freytag is the Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Corporate Technology's Innovative Ventures of Siemens AG. With locations in Berkeley, Shanghai and Munich Rudolf is responsible at Siemens for foundation and financing of start-ups, cooperation of Siemens with start-ups and commercialization of technologies. Having worked in the Healthcare business of Siemens for a long time he knows how to connect the start-up world and the world of industrial corporations in a mutually beneficial way. Previously, Rudolf was responsible for external commercialization of Siemens innovations through spin-offs since 2007 as Managing Director of Siemens Technology Accelerator GmbH in Munich. Rudolf studied Physics, Mathematics and Business Administration and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Regensburg in Physics and has since 1992 held various positions at Siemens in Germany and USA.
