Numascale's technology includes a modular chip microarchitecture with parallel micro-coded memory transaction engines, a memory controller for cache and memory tags, a cross-bar switch for interconnect fabric, and interconnect fabric link controllers. This eliminates the need for external interconnect fabric switches, and all switching is performed on-chip. The design is implemented in a single FPGA or ASIC called NumaChip™, depending on the system vendor's requirements. Numascale provides state-of-the-art Node Controller IP, technology, and components for Intel UPI and AMD Hypertransport, and is also developing IP and products for CXL.
