Thomas currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sinosun, AAC, Boston-Power and MediaRing. He was a former board member of Oculex (acquired by Allergan). Thomas earned a B.Sc. in Bacteriology (highest Honor) in 1975, a M.Sc. in Bacteriology in 1977 and a Ph.D. in Bacteriology and Biochemistry in 1981 from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Hany currently serves on the board of directors of DraftKings, Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), Phoenix Labs, and Houzz. Before founding GGV Capital, Hany spent ten years on Wall Street as a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray & Co., specializing in internet software and infrastructure.
