Thomas Ng
Thomas Ng is a co-founder of GGV Capital and is actively in investing in Asia. He was the founder of Venture TDF in Singapore. Venture TDF pioneered hi-tech venture capital investment in Singapore and China. He advised the Government of Singapore in its development of technopreneurship and served on a number of its Advisory Boards. Thomas has many years of management and investment experience in the high-technology industry. He has held senior management positions at Solar Energy Research Institute, E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. and Genelabs Technologies. He has numerous publications and patents worldwide and currently holds three patents in practice. Thomas currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sinosun, AAC, Boston-Power and MediaRing. He was a former board member of Oculex (acquired by Allergan). Thomas earned a B.Sc. in Bacteriology (highest Honor) in 1975, a M.Sc. in Bacteriology in 1977 and a Ph.D. in Bacteriology and Biochemistry in 1981 from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Scott Bonham is a co-founder of GGV Capital and brings a combination of technology investing and marketing experience. Scott has been instrumental in building the firm and helping GGV’s portfolio companies navigate technology and marketing hurdles in the U.S., China, and Europe. Scott also serves on the board of directors for Magna International and is involved with many startups in the U.S. and Canada. Committed to encouraging innovation in Canada, Scott is the co-chair of the C100 which provides mentorship and access to growth capital for Canadian entrepreneurs. Prior to joining GGV, Scott was a Vice President at Capital Group Companies and a consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Scott also spent four years at Silicon Graphics in various marketing roles and started his career as a systems engineer and maintenance foreman at a General Motors assembly plant. Scott earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honors) from Queen’s University, Canada and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Over the course of his career, Hany has made a significant number of successful investments, including Athenahealth (NASDAQ: ATHN), Endeca (acquired by Oracle), Kintana (acquired by Mercury Interactive), and Xfire (acquired by Viacom), Tudou (NASDAQ- TUDO later acquired by Youku/Alibaba), Vocera Communications (NASDAQ- VCRA), and Heptagon (acquired by AMS). Hany currently serves on the board of directors of DraftKings, Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), Phoenix Labs, and Houzz. Before founding GGV Capital, Hany spent ten years on Wall Street as a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray & Co., specializing in internet software and infrastructure. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in political science.
