Founded by Peter Silverman and Max Robbins, Majorwise addresses the challenge of students struggling to find local jobs related to their majors. They discovered that small businesses in Vermont, with less than 10 employees, often couldn't commit to full-time internships. Recognizing this, Peter and Max created BeaconVT, a job board connecting Vermont students with local job opportunities, internships, projects, and gigs. After a year of hard work, they built a successful brand, attracted student users, and encouraged businesses to post opportunities. By the end of 2016, Majorwise became the most popular job board in Vermont, helping numerous students gain valuable experience. Now, Majorwise is prepared to launch and significantly improve the job search experience for students both in and out of school.
