LEAF, a nonprofit CDFI based in Boston, has been serving small businesses in the United States since 1982. They finance cooperatives, healthy food projects, and other social enterprises, while also offering pro-bono technical assistance to small businesses in Massachusetts. Their mission is to empower communities and workers by promoting equity and inclusion in health and economics. LEAF strongly believes in providing quality jobs, affordable healthy food, and stable housing for all. They make loans to cooperatives across the country, creating jobs in low-income areas and expanding access to healthy food in underserved communities.
