Brian Rich
Brian Rich is responsible for the general management and investment policy of Catalyst Investors. He monitors all of the firm's investment opportunities and provides counsel for all portfolio companies. A veteran investor, he has more than 20 years of experience in the business services, technology and wireless sectors. Brian Rich has served on numerous boards at Catalyst and predecessor funds and is currently on the executive committee of the National Venture Capital Association’s inaugural Growth Equity Group. In 2010 he was invited by the FCC to advise on media ownership. Prior to co-founding Catalyst, Brian Rich founded and managed TD Capital (USA) Inc. (“TD Capital”), the entity that made Toronto Dominion Bank’s U.S.-based equity, mezzanine, and limited partnership investments from 1995 to 1999. As group head, he oversaw approximately 40 investments totaling more than $600 million. Before founding TD Capital, Brian Rich was a Managing Director in the bank’s Media, Telecom & Technology Group. Prior to joining TD in 1990, Brian Rich held positions at The Bank of New York and Intel Corporation. Brian Rich earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Ryan McNally
Ryan has spent more than twenty years as an investor and investment banker working with growth companies in the digital media, software-as-a-service, publishing, and business and consumer services sectors. In 2000 he co-founded Catalyst Investors, a New York-based growth equity firm focused on tech-enabled services businesses. He currently serves on the boards of Videology, WeddingWire and Reputation Institute and is a board observer of MediaMath and Mindbody. He previously served on the boards of Advantage Business Media, Aspire Media, Las Vegas TV Partners and MessageLabs Group. Prior to joining Catalyst, Ryan was a Vice President and shareholder of Daniels & Associates (now RBC Capital Markets) where he was primarily responsible for leading financings and M&A assignments for more than 50 emerging companies within the media and telecommunications industry. From 1989 to 1992, he was an investment banker in the Media and Telecommunications Group of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. He received an AB with honours from Harvard College.

Chris Shipman
Mr. Shipman is responsible for sourcing and reviewing prospective investment opportunities, as well as participating in the management of the firm. He focuses on investments in the wireless communications and internet infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Catalyst, Mr. Shipman was a Vice President and Director at TD Capital from 1995 until 2000 where he was responsible for the sourcing, negotiation and structuring of direct private equity investments. From 1991 to 1994, he was a relationship manager in Toronto Dominion Bank’s Media, Telecom & Technology Group. Prior to joining TD, Mr. Shipman was an economist at Bankers Trust Company. Mr. Shipman received an MA and a BA from Boston University, and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
