Solve runs four Global Challenges each year to identify promising tech-based social entrepreneurs from around the world. These entrepreneurs are then supported by Solve's community of leaders and changemakers to scale their impact and drive transformational change. Solve was founded in 2016 as an offshoot of MIT's commitment to open technological innovation and actionable thought leadership in the public sphere. Its mission is to drive innovation and solve world challenges through a marketplace for social impact innovation.
