The publication aims to attract stakeholders to the African startup ecosystem by sharing stories of ingenuity and innovation. They select and feature 30 exciting startups, known as YASR 30, that are shaping the future of entrepreneurship across Africa. These startups are led by talented and diverse groups of founders. Founded in New Haven, Connecticut, the publication was established by Sharon Mwale, Samuel Kitara, Lina Kacyem, Kwame Amoako, Caroline van der Merwe, and Lukas Bosch. The Yale Africa Startup Review's mission is to share stories that highlight the ingenuity and innovation in the African startup ecosystem.
