Founded in 1986, Pioneer Lines owns and operates 15 short line railroads in 12 states, connecting rural and small-town America to domestic and international markets. They offer a range of services including railroad transportation, port and terminal services, railroad construction and maintenance, and storage and dry warehousing. Recently, on August 8th, 2022, Pioneer Lines was acquired by Patriot Rails, though the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
