Founded in 2016, Astra has built rocket development and test facilities in California and successfully launched rockets in Alaska. They competed in the DARPA Launch Challenge and completed a rocket factory and spaceport. Astra went public in 2021, valuing the company at $2.1 billion. They are now taking reservations for satellite delivery and payload services, with plans to begin launching satellites in summer 2021. Astra aims to conduct daily space launches by 2025.
