The organization provides support to scientists, medical doctors, and patients through collaborative research support, internal research, and outreach. MiRcore's mission is to be the biomedical research platform of choice open to any citizen to initiate research that starts because of a citizen-funded microgrant. They engage high school students in biomedical-centric enrichment activities and statistics-driven computational research to elucidate the role that genes play in disease. MiRcore is building the next generation of investigators while advancing the promise of better patient healthcare as a result of gene-guided medical treatments.
