ReCircle is a social enterprise that aims to harness the value of waste by building innovative systems to retrieve and repurpose it, while also supporting the human capital of informal waste workers. They provide a free doorstep pick-up service for recyclable waste and supply it to authorized recycling centers, diverting trash from landfills and water bodies. ReCircle partners with individual consumers, multinational brands, and urban local bodies to create a dynamic multi-stakeholder approach to resource recovery. They use data, analytics, and technology to inform, educate, and mobilize support from the grassroots to the biggest corporations. ReCircle is currently present in 102+ cities, towns, and villages, partnering with 2223+ informal waste workers to facilitate a waste recovery rate of more than 1720 kgs. per hour, with a lifetime waste recovery figure of 25,904+ metric tons as of March 2022.
