Arturo Devesa is the VP, Head of Search and ML Technology at Doctor Evidence, LLC. Devesa was the CEO andFounder of MedWhat, a medical artificial intelligence company building an artificial intelligent doctor that answers medical and health questions. Devesa was a research scholar at Stanford University Medical School from 2016-2017 and is a member of StartX, Stanford University's startup accelerator and venture capital fund Stanford-StartX Fund. Devesa has a Bachelor in Finance and a Masters of Science in Economics and Econometrics from Florida Atlantic University. Devesa was also as a teaching faculty in statistics and information technology for four years at Florida Atlantic University. Arturo won the 2011 Florida Atlantic University Business Plan Competition with his startup MedWhat, where he received $30,000 and recognition from the event sponsor, AT&T Mobility CEO and alumni of FAU, Mr. Ralph de la Vega. Devesa moved afterwards from Florida to Palo Alto to continue developing MedWhat at Stanford University’s Medical School, where he did research on Stanford NCBO’s Bioportal in 2012. In 2013, Arturo and his startup were accepted into StartX, Stanford’s prestigious startup accelerator.
