Peter Currie

Peter Currie has been a Member of the Board of Directors at Schlumberger Limited since 2010 and is the Board’s Lead Independent Director.Since April 2004, Peter has been President of Currie Capital LLC, a private investment firm.Peter is the Member of the Board of Directors at Twitter, Inc., where he chairs both the audit committee and the nominating and governance committee, having served on its board since November 2010. Peter also serves as the Member of the Board of Directors at New Relic, Inc. since March 2013, where he chairs its audit committee and is a Member of its compensation committee.Peter previously served as the Member of the Board of Directors at Clearwire Corporation, CNET Networks, Inc., Safeco Corporation and Sun Microsystems, Inc.Peter has had extensive business experience in senior operational management roles, where he guided companies through exponential growth. Peter began his career with Morgan Stanley, where he worked in Europe and the US and specialised in the media and communications industries. Peter later was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc., a position he held until its sale to AT&T.Following that, Peter became the Chief Financial Officer of internet start-up Netscape Communications Inc. which was later taken public and sold to AOL.Peter currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of Phillips Academy.Peter holds a B.A. degree in Economics and French Literature from Williams College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
