The MCDC collaborates with industry, academic, and not-for-profit partners to enhance the Department of Defense's medical pharmaceutical and diagnostic capabilities. Through an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), the MCDC leverages cutting-edge R&D and prototypes from commercial sources to develop agile and flexible medical countermeasures. The consortium recruits a diverse group of participants, including large and small businesses, government contractors, academic research institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. The goal is to provide soldiers with safe and effective medical solutions to counter chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
