Ofer Shapiro

Ofer Shapiro co-founded Vidyo, Inc. in 2005 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President until February 2015. Ofer Shapiro serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer at Nucleix, Ltd. Ofer Shapiro served as Vice President of Business Development & Product Strategy of Arel Communications & Software Ltd. since, January 20, 2004. He has over fifteen years of experience in bringing disruptive technology. Ofer Shapiro served as Senior Vice President of business development of Radvision Ltd., since September 2000. He joined Arel from Radvision, where he held several key positions over the past eight years. he was responsible for developing new business plans and strategic partnerships. Ofer Shapiro served as Vice President of Strategic Accounts, and leading the development of Radvision Ltd.'s first gatekeeper multipoint conferencing unit products. he was responsible for strategic alliances with major IP networking and telecom partners. As a key member of R&D, he initiated and led the development of Arel Communications & Software Ltd.'s trend-setting gatekeeper and IP multipoint conferencing unit products, and was among the editors of the ITU-T H.323 recommendation. Earlier in his career, Ofer Shapiro was a Department Head in the Israeli Defense force for five years, where he managed electro-optics related projects. He has been the Vice Chairman of Vidyo, Inc. since February 2015. He serves as Board Member of Vidyo, Inc. Ofer Shapiro holds a BSc degree in Maths and Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an M.Sc. in applied physics from Tel Aviv University.
