Based in Santa Barbara, California, Women’s Economic Ventures provides small business training, advisory services, financial literacy programs, and small business loans in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. While focusing on women, it welcomes individuals of all gender identities. Since its establishment in 1991, Women’s Economic Ventures has trained over 28,000 people and supported the start or expansion of nearly 5,300 local businesses, resulting in an estimated $873 million in annual sales and the creation of over 12,400 jobs. It is recognized as a Women’s Business Center and Microlender by the U.S. Small Business Administration and is also a certified Community Development Financial Institution.
