Timothy A. Gonsalves
Dr. T.A. Gonsalves is a founding member of TeNeT group and has been actively involved in guiding the incubation of many Technology companies from the TeNet Group including Midas Communications, Banyan Networks, NMSWorks and iSoftech. Dr. Timothy also holds several patents and has presented many award winning research oriented papers. He also serves as Consultant to State Bank of India and IDRBT. Dr.Timothy is passionately active in development of products and technology in computer networks and telecommunications, especially aimed at mass markets in developing countries and also in the promotion of software development in rural areas. He translates his goals into tangible actions in his capacity as Director of Rural Technology Business Incubator (RTBI) and Nilgiri Networks. In the initial years, he had also served as Director of NMSWorks and Nilgiri Networks. A native of Ooty in the Nilgiris, Prof. T.A. Gonsalves received a B.Tech. from IIT-Madras, an MS from Rice University and a PhD from Stanford University, CA, all in Electrical Engineering. Since January 2010, he has been serving as the first full-time Director of IIT Mandi, Himachal.

Ashok Jhunjhunwala
Ashok Jhunjhunwala, born in 1953, is the Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras. Ashok received his B.Tech degree from IIT, Kanpur and his M.S. degree and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maine. From 1979 to 1981, Ashok was a faculty Member at Washington State University and since 1981, he has been teaching at IIT, Madras, where he leads the Telecommunications and Computer Networks group (TeNeT). This group works with industry in the development of technologies relevant in India. It has incubated several technology companies and helped them to develop telecom, banking and energy products for Indian Urban and Rural Markets. Ashok's faculty is in charge of IITM Research Park and IIT’s Incubation Cell. Ashok was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2002. Ashok was awarded Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 1998, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Research Award for the year 1997, Millennium Medal in Indian Science Congress in the year 2000 and H.K. Firodia for 'Excellence in Science and Technology' for the year 2002. In 2004 Ashok was awarded the Shri Om Prakash Bhasin Foundation Award for Science and Technology, the Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Lecture Award by INSA for the year 2006, IBM Innovation and Leadership Forum Award by IBM for the year 2006, and was recently awarded Honorary Doctorate by the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden and Excellence in Science and Technology Award. Ashok is a Fellow of World Wireless Research Forum, IEEE and Indian academies including INAE, IAS, INSA and NAS. Ashok is a Member of the Board of Directors at Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited, Polaris, 3i-Infotech, Sasken, Tejas, Tata Communications, Exicom and Mahindra Reva Electrical Vehicles Pvt Ltd. Ashok is also a Member of the Board of Directors at several educational institutes and section 25 companies including BIRAC. Ashok is a Member of Prime Minister's Scientific Advisory Committee.
