WFSA partners with national anaesthesiology societies, the World Health Organization, governments, surgical organizations, NGOs, hospitals, and training centers to achieve its mission. With a network of hundreds of thousands of anaesthesiologists in over 140 countries, WFSA promotes learning and the highest standards of patient care worldwide. The organization addresses the global burden of disease that can be treated by surgery and the lack of access to affordable surgical and anaesthetic care, particularly in lower income countries. WFSA is based in London, England and offers education, training, surgery, advocacy, and patient care for anaesthesiologists.
