The Mega Terminal of the Atlantic (MTA) by AMEGA Holdings is a new container transshipment terminal located on the Atlantic coast of Costa Rica. With a capacity of 2 million TEUs per year, it caters to international shipping companies and accommodates the largest container ships. The terminal meets stringent US security requirements and offers 100% x-ray and radiation scanning. AMEGA MTA is a Private Initiative Project proposed under Costa Rica's Concession Laws and has received government approval to lead the project. The company aims to improve the supply chain by providing efficient transshipment services for vessels up to super post-Panamax size.
