Act, founded in 2010 by COTEC Portugal, is a seed accelerator based in Porto, Portugal. They help researchers bring their technologies from the lab to the market by providing training, mentoring, and access to funding. Their flagship program, COHITEC, is a 4-month training program in technology commercialization. Each year, 16 teams are selected to attend the program, and the projects with the most potential move forward to proof-of-concept and business development stages.
