Led by Dan Whaley, Climos partners with top scientific teams to identify and deploy the most effective methods for reducing CO2. One technique they are exploring is Ocean Iron Fertilization (OIF), which enhances phytoplankton production in the ocean to sequester carbon dioxide. By seeding the ocean with iron filings, Climos aims to remove 1 billion tons of CO2. OIF has high mitigation potential and low cost compared to other methods. Climos is committed to understanding the long-term environmental, social, and economic impact of their solutions.
