BYAS develops and produces high protein plant-based ingredients, natural blue food colorants, and innovative organic biostimulants for vertical farming. They also create sera and media for cellular agriculture, aiding in the production of cell-based meat, plants, and mycelia. With pilot production facilities and a fully equipped cellular agriculture laboratory in Chicago, BYAS is committed to making alternative proteins and vertical and cellular agriculture sustainable and affordable. They aim to find new uses for algae as sustainable ingredients, improve yield and quality in vertical farming, and advance the development of cell-based food.
