The Berlin-based company, Scopis, specializes in developing and manufacturing clinical navigation systems for image-guided surgery, with a particular emphasis on laser-based measuring and endoscopic augmented reality. Founded in 2010 as a joint spin-off of Charité University Clinic Berlin and Fraunhofer IPK, Scopis quickly secured funding from German incubator High Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). In 2011, they introduced the MATRIX POLAR navigation system range to the European market, followed by the launch of their groundbreaking Augmented Reality navigation product, MATRIX POLAR AR. Since then, Scopis has been dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness of navigation systems for endoscopic procedures.
