Yalda Aoukar

Mr. Yalda Aoukar is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Bracket Capital. She is a seasoned investment adviser with several years of experience with top international financial institutions. Yalda started her career in London and worked with Lehman Brothers, Barclays, and Morgan Stanley. She served as Vice President for Investcorp Qatar where she advised clients on a variety of investments in Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate. Yalda started investing in early-stage start-ups and the technology industry out of passion, as a personal endeavor. Following a string of successful investments, she realized there was a big untapped opportunity to introduce this asset class to her home market, the Middle East. Due to the lack of geographical proximity and networks, investors from the Middle East rarely have the opportunity to invest in Silicon Valley. This is how the partnership with Jihan materialized and the vision of Bracket ensued. Yalda Aoukar holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the American University of Beirut (2006) and a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University (2008).
