It funds and scales tech-enabled, revenue-generating businesses under $1M founded by people who identify as black and brown and woman, and aims to ignite economic security, civic engagement, and hyperlocal infrastructure at the intersection of STEM education and entrepreneurship for black and brown woman-identifying founders, funders, and veterans. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia, Black Girl Ventures is dedicated to creating access to capital for Black and Brown women entrepreneurs through initiatives such as crowdfunded pitch competitions, 1:1 funding assessments, consultations and introductions.
