The company's app allows users to input an address into the real-time parking map, which directs them to open spaces in garages and lots, and automatically allows users to pay for parking via the app at select locations. ParkiFi's smart sensor technology provides real-time utilization analytics to parking lot operators, cities, and mobile applications to let them know where open and available parking spots are. The company aims to reduce the environmental impact of driving and the stress of finding a parking spot by providing information to car owners regarding average parking times, spot occupancy, pricing optimization trends and outcomes. The app launched in downtown Denver in November 2016 and will roll out in other Denver neighborhoods and nationwide in 2017. ParkiFi has raised $13.5 million in venture capital to-date and was recognized as a 2016 “Denver Gazelles” company by the Denver Office of Economic Development.
