National 4-H Council, founded in 1976 and based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, provides hands-on projects in health, science, agriculture, and citizenship for young people. It partners with over 100 public universities across the US to deliver these experiences, empowering nearly six million young people to develop leadership skills and make positive contributions to their communities. Through in-school and afterschool programs, clubs, and camps, 4-H helps young people make healthy decisions, pursue STEM opportunities, and become active members of society.
