Marcus Meijer
Marcus Meijer is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer and chairs the funds’ Investment Committees. Marcus has extensive corporate finance and real estate investment and development experience. He has originated, executed and exited single asset, portfolio, and non-performing loan transactions across the United States, the UK and Continental Europe. Before founding Meyer Bergman in 2004, Marcus was the CFO at Meyer Bergman’s predecessor, MAB Group, where he was responsible for the strategic restructuring of the business, culminating in the portfolio sale of the European development business to a global financial institution. Marcus began his career in 1995 at Hines in Chicago and London, before joining Goldman Sachs’ Principal Investment Team in 1997. Marcus graduated from Leyden University with a Master’s degree in law, and received his MBA in 2002 from INSEAD. Additionally, Marcus speaks six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch).
