Jim Alkove

Responsible for delivering the security features for Windows 10, the overall Windows value proposition for Enterprise and Education customers and Operational Security for WDG. Leads a multi-disciplinary program management team that is responsible for Licensing and Deployment, Systems Management, OS Security, Device Security, Defender (PM and Anti-Malware Research), Safety Platform, Security Assurance, Security Operations and Governance, Risk Management and Compliance. Prior to this role, Jim was the Chief Security Officer for the Xbox business where he led the design and implementation of hardware, software and online service security for Xbox One. Prior to Xbox, Jim was a developer and architect for Microsoft’s digital media and digital rights management. Avid inventor with more than 40 US patents to his credit. Pre-Microsoft Work Experience – Prior to Microsoft Jim worked briefly after college as a software developer on customer relationship management systems
