NitroFix has developed an innovative manufacturing technology that generates ammonia without emitting any carbon dioxide. This method utilizes an electrochemical reaction facilitated by a novel catalyst, using nitrogen and water as reactants. The process operates under ambient conditions with low over-potentials and can be implemented in facilities of various sizes. By utilizing renewable energy, NitroFix aims to significantly lower the carbon footprint associated with ammonia production, which is currently responsible for 1.8% of total CO2 emissions. Headquartered in Rehovot, HaMerkaz, NitroFix was founded in 2022.
