Brian Wilcove

Brian has 16 years of experience investing in innovative technology companies with a long list of successes. His current investments include ApplyBoard, Boxbot, Griddable, Pavilion Data and Virsec. His investments going onto successful M&A transactions include: ConteXtream (Hewlett Packard), Guavus (Thales), Internet Photonics (Ciena), KXEN (SAP), Loglogic (Tibco), OnFiber (Qwest) and Tele Atlas (TomTom). Brian continues to look for each of these traits in new investments. Brian received his undergraduate degree in History from Miami University. His early career included co-founding Virtela, which was acquired by NTT, as well as stints at ANS, America Online, Qwest Communications before joining TeleSoft Partners and then Sofinnova Ventures. He is a native of Philadelphia (and rabid Eagles fan) and he currently resides in the Bay Area with his wife and two children. His is also an extreme sports enthusiast and is passionate about scuba diving.
